Our Services

Cleaning

We recommend that patients of all ages attend at least two check-ups and cleanings a year at Farragut Dental Studio. Even those who brush and floss diligently fall victim to dental problems that linger under the surface and out of sight – these visits allow our team to provide professional maintenance and locate even the smallest concerns before they have a chance to cause significant damage.

After your check-up, we perform a professional cleaning that removes potentially dangerous plaque and tartar from your teeth and gums. Our team will use advanced sonic technology and state-of-the-art laser treatment to decrease accumulation of bacteria, resulting in better overall health for the patient. This process only takes up to 10 minutes, and it comes free with the rest of your hygiene appointment. We know you’ll be amazed by how fresh and polished your smile feels afterwards!

Root Canal Treatment

Root canal therapy is needed when the nerve of a tooth is affected by decay or infection.

Having a root canal done on a tooth is the treatment of choice to save a tooth that otherwise would die and have to be removed. Many patients believe that removing a tooth that has problems is the solution, but what is not realized is that extracting (pulling) a tooth will ultimately be more costly and cause significant problems for adjacent teeth.

Contact our practice today if you would like to know more about root canal therapy, or to schedule an appointment.

Crown & Bridge

Crowns are designed to “cap” the entire surface area of a single tooth mimicking the original look and feel, while protecting the natural structure underneath. Our team may recommend a dental crown for several reasons including severe decay, injury, weakened function, or cosmetic issues. Crowns are also used to protect a tooth treated with root canal therapy, and to top implant posts.

Dental bridges consist of multiple dental crowns that have been fused-together to create a sturdy tooth replacement solution. They can be used in any area with one or more missing teeth in a row, given that there are still healthy teeth on either side of the gap. This allows our team to anchor additional crowns over these teeth, which hold the bridge in place. It prevents other teeth from moving.

Implants

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots that provide a permanent base for fixed, replacement teeth. Compared to dentures, bridges and crowns, dental implants are a popular and effective long-term solution for people who suffer from missing teeth, failing teeth or chronic dental problems. Because they fit, feel and function like natural teeth, dental implants are quickly becoming the new standard in tooth replacement.

Extraction

While not all problems with teeth require removal, extractions are most often performed because of an active problem such as pain, swelling, decay or infection, or as a preventative measure to avoid serious problems in the future.

Extraction of a tooth is necessary if the tooth cannot be saved by a root canal or other dental procedure.

Dentures

A denture is a removable dental appliance replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissue.  They are made to closely resemble your natural teeth and may even enhance your smile.

There are two types of dentures – complete and partial dentures.  Complete dentures are used when all of the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.  A Partial denture not only fills in the spaces created by missing teeth, it prevents other teeth from shifting.
